Im Sommer und Herbst 2025 wird in acht deutschen Städten die Posterausstellung „500 Jahre Bücher in Lettisch – Riga erLesen“ ausgestellt

Im Frühjahr 2025 haben Lettland und Deutschland eine dreijährige Zusammenarbeit im Bibliothekswesen ins Leben gerufen. Bis 2028 sind Projekte zum Austausch von Berufserfahrungen, gemeinsame Veranstaltungen und Ideentausch zwischen den Bibliotheken und Berufsverbänden beider Länder geplant. Diese Zusammenarbeit findet in enger Partnerschaft zwischen der Nationalbibliothek Lettlands, dem Lettischen Bibliotheksverband und Bibliothek & Information Deutschland (BID) statt.

Rabab Shaker Bedeir traveled to Bremen to participate in the 113ᵗʰ BiblioCon (9ᵗʰ Bibliothekskongress) and present the outcomes of a project shaped by insights he gained during a previous professional visit to Germany. In his report, he briefly recounts his impressions of the conference, his presentation and what he could take away this time.

Im Juni und Juli tauschte die ungarische Marianna Eszter Feketéné Balogh sich in Augsburg, in Hannover und in Bremen mit deutschen Kollegen aus. Für BII erzählt sie ausführlich von allem, das sie beobachten konnte und welche Programme die verschiedenen Einrichtungen betreiben.
Hélène Brousseau too visited Berlin to attend the IFLA Audiovisual and Multimedia Section Conference and Mid-Year Meeting, held from June 10–13, 2025. This report has a more personal angle than the previous one and is enriched with pictures to go along with the topics and items discussed.

In May 2025 Almoataz Mohamed Gad Elkarim traveled to Baden-Württemberg, Germany, to participate in a professional exchange with the Württembergische Landesbibliothek-Stuttgart. In his report, he details the projects and proceedings of the Württembergische Landesbibliothek and other institutions he was able to visit.

Mirjana Nešić went to Berlin to attend the IFLA Audiovisual and Multimedia Section Conference and Mid-Year Meeting, held from June 10–13, 2025. In her report, she presents the topics discussed, an outlook on future ventures and what places she was able to see and projects she heared about.

Agnieszka Wolańska went to Berlin to attend the International Conference on Economics and Business Information (INCONECSS). In her report, she gives a brief overview of the topics discussed there and what she learned from the sessions and other perspectives in the field.

Alison Annet Kinengyere, Glorias Asiimwe and Winfred Namusoke Lubambo went to Münster, Germany, for a professional study tour of german libraries. In their report they record what they were introduced to and their lessons learned abroad.

Nicoleta-Roxana Dinu visited four libraries in Frankfurt am Main from 17th to 20th February 2025 in order to identify good practices and efficient techniques that could be implemented by the Romanian libraries. Here is her report about the trip.
